Mittwoch, 13. Februar 2013, 11:52 - Martin MerkDie Wiedereinführung eines möglichen Schweizer Cups auf die Saison 2014/15 hin scheint auf guten Wege zu sein nach Diskussionen zwischen den NLA- und NLB-Clubs heute Morgen. Bald soll es zur Abstimmung kommen.
"Tendenziell steht die National League und die Clubs dem Schweizer Cup positiv entgegen," sagt Pius-David Kuonen, Vizepräsident der Swiss Ice Hockey Federation. Der Verwaltungsrat soll formell am 28. Februar darüber abstimmen. Dazu wird es auch bei der Regio League eine Abstimmung benötigen.
Der Wettbewerb im klassischen KO-System soll 32 Mannschaften umfassen und über fünf Runden gehen. Dies wären derzeit alle NLA- und NLB-Clubs sowie neun Spitzenteams der 1. Liga. Falls der Cup durch die Gremien durchkommt, soll auf die Saison 2014/15 hin starten und von einer neuen Marketingagentur begleitet werden.

Man hat einiges an Jungen in der Farm, aber viele Draft Picks waren auch busts...Bailey wurde zu früh in die NHL geholt, Okposo gammelt vor sich hin, Nino wurde ein ganzes Jahr in der 4ten Linie eingesetzt, de Haan ist IMMER verletzt, Jared Spurgeon wurde auf Waivers gesetzte (bei Minny jetzt Stammspieler), Ryan O'Marra war ein absoluter BUST, Nokelainen auch. Und über DiPietro und seinen Vertrag möchte ich gar nicht reden. Wie hatte er doch vor kurzen so schön gesagt:

We Islanders fans (in general) are a unique bunch. This is EXACTLY like the movie Major League. The owner wanted the team to move to Miami. Here, the owner has already signed off on a move. And yet, he still goes about his modus operandi of producing a 99 cent store product. There is not one other professional sports franchise that does this. Even the Marlins attempted to spend last year.
They increase ticket prices after a lockout, their social media feeds are run by the type of people Orwell introduced us to in 1984, and they carry themselves with an attitude that suggests they believe they are the smartest people in the room. And that last point is the most infuriating of all.
I've been a fan my entire 26 years on earth. But THIS is hard to stomach now.
